For several years, three Korean pimps were running an escort/prostitution/human trafficking ring in the Irvine area of Los Angeles, until they were arrested and shutdown back in August 2014. A year and a half later, one of those pimps received his sentence.
On January 11, 2016, Gin Woo Park (shown left, now age 44) pleaded guilty and was sentenced for five felony counts of pimping. He was sentenced to 6 years in California state prison. His prison sentence would have been 40 years if he pleaded not guilty and was sentenced to the maximum.
The other two pimps, Heung Soon Kim, 57, of Los Angeles (shown center) and Miyoun Kim, 38, of Newport Beach (shown right) have pleaded not guilty, and their criminal trial continues. Heung Soon Kim faces a maximum of 40 years and 8 months in prison and Miyoun Kim faces a maximum of 12 years and 8 months in prison.
If any of them are non-U.S. citizens (and they most likely are), such as living in America under a temporary visa (like a work/student/marriage), or here as a tourist, or illegally here, they will be deported after their prison sentence. Then they will be banned from entering the U.S. for at least 10 years, all the way to life. Why do so many idiots have to learn the hard way?
