It’s not just pimping underage children that will land you in prison for many years. If you organize an adult escort service that advertises on the internet, be prepared to join the human traffickers and pedophiles in prison for many long years.
In Wausau in central Wisconsin, Kristen M. Boyd, 30, and Aaron Brown, 28, were arrested Monday as part of an ongoing investigation into prostitution after one of three women arrested in a sting told police that Boyd and Brown set up her appointments and collected all of the money she earned performing sexual favors for clients at hotels.
Kristin Jensen, 25, of Mosinee was one of three women arrested Sept. 27 at a Wausau hotel after undercover officers responded to an ad for adult escort services on the Internet classified ad site backpage.com.
Police on Monday arrested Boyd and Brown after they searched a home in the 700 block of Fulton Street, where they seized cellphones, computers and other evidence. Boyd and Brown live in the home along with two young children, police said.
Boyd faces charges of pimping, solicitation of prostitutes and bail jumping, felony charges that carry a maximum combined penalty of 24½ years in prison.
Brown faces a maximum prison sentence of 18½ years if he is convicted on felony charges of pimping and solicitation of prostitutes. Both were charged Wednesday in Marathon County Circuit Court and are being held on a $10,000 bond each. Preliminary hearings for both suspects will be held Oct. 9.
